Sunday April 13th, 2025 11am-5pm
Everlea Studio in Madeira Park
This workshop is beginner friendly. Never woven before? No problem!
About the workshop:
Learn the art of weaving a contrasting gradient using tapestry techniques on a handcrafted Everlea Mini Loom, and a gorgeous array of naturally dyed yarns dyed by me.
What is a contrasting gradient?
A contrasting gradient is two gradients woven at the same time working in opposite directions alongside each other. One gradient weaves from light to dark while the other weaves from dark to light, creating beautiful colour harmonies.
We will talk about the ways in which colour theory plays a part in our colour decisions and you will get to choose all 10 of the colours that you will use in your weaving.
You will get to use and take home the following materials, as pictured:
- A handcrafted wooden Everlea Mini Loom (dark or blond). You’ll have the opportunity to swap it for my larger loom and pay the difference if you like.
- Two Everlea Weaving Needles
