Did you know I make Everlea Looms in my Madeira Park studio? 2021 was the year I began making looms after my maternal grandfather, who is a retired cabinet maker, showed me how. Actually, he created an entire system for me. After he trained me how to use it all, he let me take home all of the saws, tools and jigs and I've been making them from my little woodshop since. I've really enjoyed the creativity that producing looms offers my busy brain. Sometimes, to mix it up when I'm in the middle of making a bunch of the same thing, I'll design a weaving comb or make a loom with a special wood (like in my last post). It's been a fabulous space to try new things and let my imagination roam while I make beautiful objects with my hands. It's really not unlike knitting or weaving in that way - I'm making away and my soul is content.
Thank you for supporting my business by purchasing my handmade treasures 🩷
