For fourteen years I have been printing, stenciling and dyeing silk fabric with natural dyes as part of my studio and art practice, as well as during demonstrations for classes that I have taught. So, when Maya at Uni Design, who works exclusively with up-cycled fabric, asked me if I was interested in collaborating with her on a fashion collection, I knew exactly which bucket of fabric I was pulling out of the closet.
The result of our collaboration is an ethereal, luxurious and very wearable collection of 100% silk garments.
